If you are in the New England area and involved in the medical device industry, chances are you’ll be visiting the BIOMEDevice Show in Boston. You are probably also wondering about the proposed Unique Device Identification (UDI) rules from the FDA will affect your labeling operations.
We’ll be there at Booth 247 and will be showing how companies can utilize the standards offered by GS1 or HIBCC to get a good start on meeting UDI requirements.
Let’s face it, having solid identification and being able to improve traceability of medical devices can only be a good thing and having a process in place, even without the FDA rule, makes a lot of sense.
At the Winco ID booth, no 247, we’ll show how we use Seagull Scientific’s BarTender software to create both product identification and packaging labels that meet the proposed UDI rules. Regardless of whether your organization uses the HIBCC or GS1 standards (each has its advantages and disadvantages) we have developed label templates that we are happy to share.
We love to talk labels and barcodes and find ways to use them to make things work better for our clients.
Be sure to stop by the booth at the show!
